摘要: Harrisonia perforata (Blanco) Merr. is a bitter shrub throughout southeast of Asia, belonging to the Harrisonia genus of Simarubaceae family. Its roots, stems, leaves and branches had been utilized as a folk medicine to treat cancer, malaria and wound healing. Previous researches indicated that H. perforata mainly contains limonoids, prenylated polyketides and chromones, which possessed a spectrum of biological activities. This paper summarized the primary chemical constitutions and pharmacological activities of H. perforata for the follow-up study of this plant.
