摘要: Camptotheca acuminata Decne is a deciduous tree which is endemic to China and mainly distributed in the south regions, belonging to Camptotheca genus of the Nyssaceae family. Its barks and fruits had been utilized as a folk medicine to treat cancer, virus, bacteria, and vitiligo. Previous phytochemistry studies on the fruits of C. acuminata led to the isolation of alkaloids, ellagic acids, fatty acids, terpenoids and other compounds. Numerous researches have shown that these compounds possess multiple biological activities and which has attracted great attention of worldwide researchers. By investigating the literature from 1966 to 2016, this article is going to make an overview of the chemical constituents and biological activities of the fruits of C. acuminata, which is uesful to make a further research research on the fruits of C. acuminata.
