摘要: The present investigation was carried out to evaluate the safety of Qinlian oral liquid. In the acute toxicity study, a maximum
single dose of 30 ml/kg of Qinlian oral iquid was given orally to healthy rats (n=12; 6 males and 6 females). There was no
mortality or other signs of toxicity during 14 day observation period. Furthermore, no significant alteration either in relative
organ weights or their histology was discernible at terminal autopsy. In the 90-day subchronic study, Qinlian oral liquid was
administered to rats in high, medium and low doses (10 ml/kg, 3.2 ml/kg, 1 ml/kg), A control group of rats received normal saline
only. The body weight of the rats, their food consumption, behavior, hematological data as well as the viscera index of important
organs were normal. The high dose of animal of pathology takes place imperceptibly. Macroscopic and histopathological
observations found no abnormalities. The medium dose (3.2 ml/kg) of Qinlian oral liquid is the maximum safe dose (it produces
no adverse reactions).
