Abstract: Nine flavonoids were isolated from the whole plant of Capsella bursa-pastoris (L.) Medic., and their structures were identified as tricin (1), kaempferol (2), quercetin (3), kaempferol-7-O-α-L- rhamnopyranoside (4), quercetin-3-O-β-D–glucopyranoside (5), quercetin-6-C-β-D-glucopyranoside (6), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (7), quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-7- O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (8) and kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside (9) on the basis of chemical and physicochemical evidence. All the compounds were obtained from this genus for the first time.
