Abstract: Three flavonol glycosides, kaempferol-3-O-[6"-O-(E)-p-coumaroyl]-β-D-galactopyranoside (1), kaempferol-3-O-[6"-O-(E)-p-coumaroyl]-β-D-glucopyranoside (2) and kaempferol-3-O-[6", 2"-di-O-(E)-p-coumaroyl]-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), were isolated from the seeds of Castanea mollissima Blume. Their structures, especially the sugar units, were elucidated based on the spectroscopic evidence, chemical reactions and CD experiments. Compounds 1 and 3 were isolated from Castanea for the first time. Compound 2 was isolated from this plant for the first time.

Key words: Castanea mollissima Blume, flavonol glycosides.
