Abstract: 8-3, 3-dimethylallyl-5-hydroxy-7-methoxychromone (1) 7, 5′-dihydroxy-3′-meth- oxyisoflavone (2), 8-O-methylretusin (3), (±)-2, 3-dihydro-3, 5-dihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone (4), (2S, 3S)-2, 3-dihydro-3-hydroxy- 7-methoxyflavone (5), 3, 4- dimethoxycaffeic acid methyl ester (6), 7, 4′-dihydroxy-3′-methoxyisoflavone (7), di- O-methyl daidzein (8), tektorigenin (9), genistein (10), afrormosin (11), prunetin (12), and formononetin (13), were isolated from the stem bark of Maackia amurensis. Compounds 1 and 5 were new compounds, named maackiachromone, and (2S, 3S)-7- methoxyflavanonol, respectively, while compounds 2-4, 6 were isolated from the Maackia genus for the first time and compounds 7, 8 were isolated from this plant for the first time. The structures were elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR analysis and confirmed by comparing the physical and spectroscopic data with those in the literature.

Key words: Maackia amurensis, maackiachromone, (2S, 3S)-7-methoxyflavanonol, isoflavone
