Research on preparation technology of Qin-Lian oral liquid

Abstract: To investigate the optimal preparation process of Qin-Lian oral liquid. The optimum water extraction technology of Qin-
Lian oral liquid was screened by orthogonal test in which the content of baicalin in the extract was used as the index. Further
optimized investigation with cost and extraction yield of baicalin as indices was subjected. The preparation technology was
decided by investigating the clarity and taste of oral liquid. The results demonstrated that the optimized conditions were as
follows, extracting 3 times, each time adding 10 times amount of water and decocting 2 h, precipitating by addition of 95%
ethanol to a final concentration of 60% (v/v), filtering, concentrating to recycle ethanol, added with sugar and deionized water,
adjusted pH value to 6.0~7.0 with 40% sodium hydroxide solution, then the supernatant liquids were collected after a centrifuge
(5 min, 3000 rpm, 25°C). The supernatant liquids were filled and sterilized to give the Qin-Lian oral liquid. The preparation
technology was feasible and stable, indicating that the present method was suitable for large-scale preparation of Qin-Lian oral
liquid.
