Abstract: Plant of Daphne odora Thunb. has been used as medicinal plant since ancient times. In recent years, phytochemical studies have found that D. odora contains flavonoids, diflavonoids, coumarins, lignans, monoterpenes and other compounds, and shows extensive biological activities such as anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, neuroinhibition effects and so on. This article briefly reviews the recent research progress on the chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of D. odora at home and abroad.
