Chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Lonicerae japonicae

Abstract:

Lonicera japonica, also known as honeysuckle, is an evergreen shrub in the family of Syzygium. By consulting Sciencedirect databases and Web of Science databases, 79 related articles were found, of which 22 were related to chemical composition and pharmacological activity. These articles show that L. japonica has a wide range of pharmacological activities, including antiviral, anti-tumor, and antioxidant effects. These activities have important applications in the pharmaceutical, food, and fragrance industries. This review focuses on the chemical composition and pharmacological effects of L. japonicae, which is of great significance to the development of new drugs and therapeutic methods.
