Chemical compositions and biological activities of Flos lonicerae

摘要： Flos lonicerae is the dry flower bud of Lonicera japonica Thunb, and it is a very important Chinese herbal medicine in China. In ancient times, it was widely used to treat the exopathogenic wind-heat, epidemic febrile diseases, sores, carbuncles and some infectious diseases. Modern pharmacological research has indicated that it has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-oxidation activities. This paper reviews the chemical compositions and biological activities of Flos lonicerae in order to provide reference for its application in clinical practice in the future.

Abstract: Flos lonicerae is the dry flower bud of Lonicera japonica Thunb, and it is a very important Chinese herbal medicine in China.
