    摘要 ( 271 )   PDF(1153KB) ( 692 )
The content of ginsenosides and antioxidative activity of different ginseng extracts were investigated to explore the molecular compliance of antioxidative activity with ginsenosides in wild ginseng, transplant wild ginseng and cultivated ginseng in this research. The results of TLC and HPLC-MS showed that three different ginseng extracts contain the same kinds of ginsenosides, however, the content of ginsenoside Re is significantly different. All three kinds of ginseng extracts protected PC12 cells from H2O2-induced oxidative injury. Three kinds of ginseng extracts increased the levels of intracellular glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) and total-superoxide dismutase (T-SOD), decreased intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and Malondialdehyde (MDA) production. The extract of wild ginseng exhibited strongest modulation on cell viability and GSH-PX activity, which is consistent with the difference of Re content in three ginseng extracts. The difference in antioxidant activity may be closely related to the content of ginsenoside Re in three ginseng extracts.

    摘要 ( 308 )   PDF(901KB) ( 642 )
Saiga tatarica horns have been traditionally regarded as having medicinal properties. However, reports are rare about an effective and convenient identification assay. The aim of this study was to establish and evaluate a molecular diagnostic assay of S. antelope horns with COI sequences as a molecular marker. Genomic DNA extracted from S. antelope horns was used as templates. The amplification system of COI regions was established and optimized. The PCR assay was accurate and specific. All these results obtained indicate that the COI sequences could be used to identify Saiga tatarica horns successfully.

Research Progress on the Chemical Constituents and Biological Activities of Gelsemium elegans
    Chenxi Li, Lingzhi Li
    2017 (3):  114-127.
    摘要 ( 321 )   PDF(2147KB) ( 1555 )
Gelsemium elegans is used as a toxic traditional Chinese medicine, belonging to Gelsemium genus of Loganiaceae family. It is reported that the main chemical constituents of G. elegans are indole alkaloids. In addition, there are also iridoids, triterpenes and other components. Pharmacological activities research of G. elegans proved that it had antitumor, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and neural protection activities. This study is going to make an overview of the chemical constituents and pharmacological activities of the plant, aiming at its further development and potential value.

    2017 (3):  128-135.
    摘要 ( 356 )   PDF(905KB) ( 792 )
Six compounds were isolated from the water extractive of Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.). Their structures were elucidated via sufficient analyses of the spectroscopic data, including 1 H NMR, 13C NMR and HRESIMS. All the isolated compounds were tested for inhibitory activity against tyrosinase to inspect their effect on melanogenesis. At the concentration of 100 μmol/ml, compound 1 and 4-6 possessed more potency, with the inhibition rate at 67.51%, 84.91%, 72.16%, 92.37%, respectively, compared to arbutin (54.34%). Compound 3 exhibited moderate inhibitory activity with the inhibition rate at 48.65%. Molecular docking was performed to investigate mechanism of inhibition.
